Income Guidelines
Income is one factor used to help decide if a child qualifies for MC+. Children, ages birth to 19, whose gross family income is below 300% of the federal poverty level may be eligible, depending on their current insurance status. For example, a child (or children) in a family of three making less than $4,150 per month could be eligible for MC+. If family income is above 150% of the poverty level, monthly premiums ranging from $11 to $219 a month (covers all children in the family) will be charged. The premiums are based on family size and income. Go to the MC+ Basics page to see the Premium Schedule.
